Calico is an equal weft and warp woventextile made from unbleached or cream/white cotton, and often is not fully processed. It may contain un-separated husk parts (seeds), for example. The fabric is less coarse and thick than canvas or denim. All of this makes it a very cheap fabric. This makes it ideal for all kinds of patchwork projects.
